Three disciplines, one tailor

Atelier Acosta serves a single relationship through three disciplines — alterations, custom clothing, and in-house styling. Each is delivered by house call, in Miami and New York, with the same standard of fit and finish.

01 — Alterations

Alterations

Where the relationship opens

Most clients meet the house through a garment: a jacket that needs a shoulder taken in, a trouser that lost its break, a dress bought off the rack that deserves a made-to-measure finish. Alterations are how the relationship opens — a low-commitment first appointment that ends with a garment fitting the way it should have from the start.

The house has served a nearly decade-long client base across Miami and New York, with Design District retailers regularly referring high-value garments that demand a careful hand. Every alteration is fitted on the client, in person, at home or office — never estimated from a photograph.

Suits and sport coats — shoulders, sleeves, waist suppression, and length

Trousers and denim — breaks, tapers, waistbands, and rises

Dresses, gowns, and occasion wear restyled to measure

02 — Custom clothing

Custom clothing

Where the wardrobe is built

Custom work begins with the cloth. The house brings mill books from storied English and Italian mills to the first appointment, and every garment is cut to the client's own pattern — taken at the first fitting and refined at the second. Private custom-fit and made-to-measure commissions are the core of the house.

Beyond suiting, the house takes on custom bridal — gowns, suiting, and the wedding party — hospitality and corporate uniform programs, and formalwear on short timelines. Whatever the commission, the process is the same: one tailor, one pattern, one standard.

Closing the loop

Styling is the discipline that turns a well-made wardrobe into a considered one. The house works through the closet garment by garment — keeping what serves the client, releasing what doesn't, and identifying the pieces a wardrobe is missing.

Each engagement closes with a branded styling report: a written plan for how the wardrobe should evolve, grounded in a color analysis for the individual. Clients leave knowing not only what they own, but why they own it — and what to commission next.
